Brent
Jensen (Sax) has taught jazz studies at Whitman
College, Washington State University, and Northwest
Nazarene College. He is currently Director of Jazz
Studies at the College of Southern Idaho in Twin Falls.
Brent has studied saxophone and jazz improvisation with
Lee Konitz in New York City and Gregory Yasinitsky at
Washington State University. He was featured in the
August 1996 issue of Jazziz magazine as one of twelve
winners in an international jazz talent search
("Woodwinds on Fire"). Brent's most recent
recording, Potato Sax, has received national airplay on
jazz radio shows in Los Angeles and Pittsburgh. Visit his

Jon Bonine (Trombone) is the leader of Swing City
and runs Pianoforte Productions in Boise, Idaho. He has
performed in concert with Frank Sinatra, Natalie Cole,
Kenny G, Lou Rawls, and Harry Connick Jr. He toured with
Chuck Mangione, Ray Charles, and Bette Midler.
Patrick Kurdy (Drums) has maintained a large drum
studio in Boise for over 20 years. He has studied with
Gary Burton and Gary Chaffee at Berklee School of Music
in Boston. He is featured on recordings By Request
(Sally Tibbs) and Catch 'n' Release
(Onomatopoeia).
Chuck Smith (Piano/Jazz Theory) is co-leader of
the Chuck Smith/Sandon Mayhew Trio. He served as musical
director for Paul Anka from 1986 to 1993. He currently
teaches music in the Boise School District. He was a
guest clinician at the 1998 Frank DeMiero Jazz camp in
Edmonds, Washington.
Rob Walker (Trumpet/Composition) has toured with
the Ray Charles Orchestra and has performed at jazz
festivals across the country. His most recent CD release,
Art of the Groove, features his compositions and
has received national jazz radio play. Visit his Web site

Rod Wray (Bass) is a member of the Chuck
Smith/Sandon Mayhew trio and the Paul Tillotson Trio. He
has performed frequently with Gene Harris and has served
as a guest clinician at the Frank DeMiero Jazz Camps.
