Performance Logistics

This event operates on a very tight schedule. It is absolutely critical that you setup at your assigned time and your performance starts on time. There will be a stage manager who ensures that everyone keeps on schedule. Bottom line is that if a performer(s) starts late, they cut their performance time short rather than pushing the overall event schedule.

For the May 29 (Thursday) night show at 3 Shapes Aikido, from 7:00 to 11pm, all performers need to have their gear loaded through the front entrance, setup on stage, and sound checked (everyone) no less than 1 hour before the show begins (6pm). This means that everyone needs to be at the venue and loading in at approximately 5:00pm. Please note, all shoes must be taken off at the door of this venue.

For the May 30 (Friday) and May 31 (Saturday) evening shows at the El Korah Shrine Center, from 8:30pm to Midnight, all performers need to have their gear loaded through the back entrance, setup on stage, and sound checked (everyone) no less than 1 hour before the show begins (8:30pm). This means that everyone needs to be at the venue and loading in at approximately 6:30pm.

For the May 31 (Saturday) and June 1 (Sunday) day shows at the El Korah Shrine Center, from 1pm to 7pm, schedule has been designed so that several performers setup at the same time on the stage 30 minutes before the first performer plays. Sound checks will be limited, so be prepared to work quickly. Be sure to look at where you are on the schedule and be on stage setting up during the 30 minute teardown/setup time beforehand.

If your performance requires a lot of time consuming gear setup (such as a drum set, complex racks and board, etc), you should load your gear into the venue and setup as much as much of your gear as possible before your performance to ease the transition between sets.

At the main venue (El Korah Shrine Center), there will be six stage areas at the venue (A, B, C, D, E, and F. Stage A is on the front left from the audience perspective; B is on the front center; C is on the front right; and D is on the back left; E is on the back center; and F is on the back right. These stages will be front and center to festival attendees who enter the venue (El Korah Shrine Center). The back of the venue, where you load in, is located to the right and back of Stage D. You can drive behind the venue and load in through a separate entrance to the back of the stage.
